I know I've thanked you a thousand times....but this will be the
last time! It is Sunday....and the airplane is about 2 hours from landing! It was an early morning start in Tallinn......5:15 AM in the lobby of the hotel. But before we fly home and all it a trip....let me finish up with our trip to Tallinn.
We arrived at the hotel and all walked into the city around 1 PM. Each of us had our "favorite" things we wanted to get, Matt wanted to take some photos, and so we split up. It was amazing to stroll around a city and realize the history and bondage that this Nation
was once under! The cobblestone streets, the markets on the sidewalk, the cool crisp air, the cafes, the sounds of a different country, the laughter of weddings and amazing lattes.....this pretty much sums up Tallinn. Fantastic......majestic......beautiful!!!
So toward the end of the night you can see that we had a great meal and a great time. We ate at this pub and everyone had
something a little different....four sausage plate elk skewers, and wild
boar! Our waiter was great to us....he
loved Courtney, Daryl
and Betsy!
I love sitting at this really cool coffee shop on the corner of the square....they serve this amazing shot of chocolate.....but their latte is fabulous. It's one of those cool ocations where you feel like you're going underground by walking down into the cafe....and then all these vintage old chairs and tables await the amazing conversation that's about to take place.
We settled in for dessert and coffee to debrief the week. How can you debrief such an incredible time!? How can you explain or talk through the tug that sits on our hearts for the Estonian Nation? How can you explain or debrief the emptiness that you feel when you leave.....and it feels like forever before you will see them again!?!
All I can say....is that everyone of us has been changed for the better. Everyone of us loves harder.....everyone of us knows that each of you made it possible. We had one mission.....and it was to let His Kingdom come.
"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
John 10: 9-10
- Pray that there will be a rising up of Estonian woman and men to mentor this new generation
- Pray for boldness and that each Estonian will reach out to someone searching
- Pray for the leadership of Risttee Church....they are doing an amazing job, but they need rest.....for their souls
- Pray for those of us who have been changed......ask God to open our hearts and minds to align with His
- Pray that you will be changed too.....
- Pray that we will all be aware of His open hands
We have humbly served!
The Estonian Team
