And they all sleep.....

Well....we made it to our hotel, Hotell Dorpat (and I didn't mispell that...two Ls). After a layover in Stockholm, Sweden (Ikea capital of the world...check out the airport waiting area in the photo)

and landing in Tallin, we flagged down a cab, caught it to the bus station (while it was misting rain) and then loaded onto a public bus (you can see all of us except for Daryl...our Daddy) and headed for the bus station in Tartu....which is directly across from our hotel. We were all really glad to be in, safe, and completely comfortable!

Right when we got off the bus, Betsy said, "Hey Tarmo!". He and his friend came to welcome us......so gracious and kind! We each got settled into our rooms and quickly went out for dinner! You got it....McDonald's.....and amazing.....Courtney looked over and said, "Look, there's Eleri.....Daniel's girlfriend!" So how small is the world! :)
Thank you for all your prayers.....our travel was safe, amazing, comfortable, easy, and everything made it. God is so faithful with our team!
Tomorrow we will be going to church at 11 AM, connecting with everyone at Risttee, training, and planning. Can you pray with and for us?!?:
  • Pray for rest tonight, for cohesive and clear planning, and mostly that our spirits would align with His and that we'd serve His kingdom well!
  • Pray that the students' hearts in Tartu will begin to be opened to us, to our joy, and will ask us questions.
  • Pray for Alex Nifong as he travels to meet us tomorrow
  • Pray for our team.....for rest, for an irresistible joy, and for opportunities for us to connect Tartu Univ students to the ministry happening at Risttee.
Thank you for loving us, for joining us on this journey, for providing for us to make the trip, and most of all....for the contributions you've made toward changing lives....forever - eternity! May His Kingdom come......

From the hotel room....

Hey, Daryl, Betsy, Courtney and team!! Man, now that you are there and I am here reading about it, I so wish I was there with you, seeing old friends, catching up and sharing long over due hugs. I know y'all will do great things while you are there sharing this time with the students in Tartu. Daryl, have you reaquainted with the kitchen staff at the Dorpat yet? :-) Sending loads of love and prayers to the team and our awesome friends at Ristee. Please tell them so. Take care, have a blast, and do great works! Shannon

Love your blogs---I almost feel like I'm with ya'll. I prayed that the plane wouldn't be full so ya'll could stretch out. God is so good. I will be praying for the heart of each student. Don't be discouraged cause you can't limit God!!! This is a note for Co. I love you and we are so thankful you are our daughter. The cats are fine I went by after church today. In the brown box you wanted me to go through there are 2 bills that are due. One from your trash Co. for $9 and one from Ga power for $61 due the 17th. Do you want me to pay for them using you're checks you left?
